Josh Groban did a lame version of this classic Simon and Garfunkel song at the 4th of July concert at the Capitol today and I had to get over my disappointment by listening to the original. Enjoy!

"Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike..."
Wonderful song. The British group Yes did (what I consider) a good version of the song (and they were not prone to do covers). Then again you may not be as partial to prog rock as I am. Video with somewhat rough audio (CD versions exist) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ia8_Lav32c&feature=related
In the realm of Coming to America I think Neil Diamond's song of the name is good and the movie Avalon is good as well.
That was a nice take on Simon and Garfunkel's "America" Thanks for pointing me to it. I am not "owner of a lonely heart", but I do like Yes :). Neil Diamond's "Coming to America" is a timeless piece of Americana.
