We were delighted to witness this Ethiopian wolf successfully hunt its meal on our trip to the Bale Mountains National Park in June of 2013. The Ethiopian wolf is an extremely endangered species -- only about 500 of them left! Three out of five of these wolves are found on the Senati plateau of Bale Mountains, arguably the prettiest landscape in Ethiopia.
