Ethiopian Wolf Catches a Mole Rat

We were delighted to witness this Ethiopian wolf successfully hunt its meal on our trip to the Bale Mountains National Park in June of 2013. The Ethiopian wolf is an extremely endangered species -- only about 500 of them left! Three out of five of these wolves are found on the Senati plateau of Bale Mountains, arguably the prettiest landscape in Ethiopia. Please learn more about these wolves by visiting the Ethiopian Wolf Conservation Programme web site at: http://www.ethiopianwolf.org/

Hey,The Ethipoian wolf is such a beautiful creature that must be saved. Ethiopian wolves are actually grey wolves that travelled to Africa and adapted to the environment their. Altough unlike the grey wolf, ethiopian wolves hunt alone and go for small prey, gophers ,and prairie dogs. Thanks you so much!!!
